The Manchester United man has become one of the most important players for Ole Gunner Solskjaer despite once being branded as a ‘flop’.

This season so far has not looked good for Manchester United, who have been lingering at the bottom half of the table from the very start. It can be said that this is one of the worst possible starts that the Red Devils have seen in years when it comes to the league. Although things have started to turn around for them as they were able to secure a promising 3-1 win at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Of all the players, one player in particular has shown some very promising stats this season, who is none other than the Brazilian midfielder Fred, who has been putting in impressive performances for a while now.

The Brazilian arrived at the club following his £52 million switch in 2018, however the youngster failed to produce the results the club expected from him immediately and was dropped from the first team as a result.

Although recently, his performances have given United the boost that he promised to deliver at the time of his switch. The 27-year old received praises from the the manager himself after the match against RB Leipzig, where the Brazilian pressed the ball, covering every inch of the field. Now, he seems like an automatic starter for the time being.

As reported by Mirror, Solskjaer made positive remarks about the midfielder saying:

"“I’m sure Fred covered every single blade of grass on that pitch. It’s unbelievable how that boy just recovers for the next one.”"

Fans were surprised to see the change in momentum when Fred was introduced along with Scott McTominay in midfield and it seems like Ole Gunner Solskjaer has developed a liking towards the duo.

It clearly seems that the manager is realizing the potential that Fred has and United fans can expect to see more of the Brazilian in the upcoming matches.
