Manchester United star angers Bruno Fernandes in training

Bruno Fernandes was angered by one of his Manchester United teammates in training heading into their game against Everton.

Manchester United have endured an up-and-down start to their season. While there have been highs like the 2-1 win away against Paris Saint-Germain or the 5-0 win over RB Leipzig, there Premier League campaign has been disappointing to say the least.

At this point of time, they sit at 13th position on the table. And if things don’t improve quickly in terms of the league, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might be shown the exit soon enough. One player who has maintained his standards through all of this though is Bruno Fernandes.

Since joining the club in January, the Portuguese has been the shining light for the Red Devils. He was a huge reason while the club managed to finish in the top four last season. And in 11 appearances this season, he has scored 6 times and provided 5 assists as well.

Thus, it is understandable when he sees his teammates not performing at that level, even more so when some of them are not even giving their best. And that is exactly what appears to have happened in training leading up to Manchester United’s game against Everton, which they thankfully ended up winning 3-1 away at Goodison Park.

According to The Times, Fernandes was left angry when Mason Greenwood refused to run for a pass during a mini-match in training last Friday. Apparently, the youngster performed poorly on the day and was left out of the squad entirely against Everton. Although that was put down to him being unwell by Solskjaer later on.

This is not the first time though that Greenwood’s attitude has been brought into question. The wonderkid has been hailed as one of the biggest talents to come out of the club’s youth setup in years. But all the rumours surrounding him in recent weeks have unfortunately been negative.

Hopefully, there are no truth to those rumours and Greenwood can make his way back into the first-team as soon as possible. He has already shown that he has the talent. Now it is just about the application.
