Van de Beek makes honest admission abut Manchester United struggles
By Akash Dutta
Donny van de Beek has made an honest admission about his struggles to get into the first-team since joining Manchester United.
Recently Manchester United have put in impressive performances in their last few games with a 5-0 win against RB Leipzig being the latest, where Donny Van de Beek played his first Champions League match for the Red Devils.
The Dutchman was United’s most expensive signing of the summer and yet some serious speculations were made against him and was even stated as a transfer that the club did not need to make. Patrice Evra even made some bold claims, saying that the club wasted their money on the Ajax youngster and that this was the most unnecessary signing as they already had quite a few experienced players in that position.
The 23-year-old’s signing has received some tough criticism from the media which might have brought to light the question whether Van de Beek made the right decision by joining the Red Devils. But Solskjaer cleared all those speculations stating that he had very clear intentions for the midfielder’s future and United fans will be seeing more of him in the upcoming games.
It is clear that Solskjaer definitely had some thinking to do before dropping any of his attacking midfielders be it Paul Pogba or Bruno Fernandes. But he made his choice before the match against RB Leipzig and decided to give some much needed minutes to Van de Beek.

According to TEAMTalk, the Dutchman has claimed that he was delighted to make his Champions League debut for the Red Devils against the Bundesliga side.
The Dutch midfielder said:
"“It was amazing, Champions League… these nights are always special.“5-0, I mean, it’s an incredible win. We are really happy, and now we focus again already on Arsenal.“In the dressing room? Everybody was in a happy phase. It’s normal if you win [against] a difficult opponent. Leipzig showed last year that they are really strong and have a good team.“But I think we showed also that we are also really strong and we have an amazing team and we just need to keep going now.“Players always want to play games. Training is also nice, but the games… this is why you’re playing football.“I think a lot of games [means] we can improve always and I am sure that we will win more if we stay in the focus”"
Although it is uncertain whether the former Ajax youngster will get to start in the match against Arsenal but judging by the performances he has put in when given the chance, do not be surprised to see the Dutchman feature on Sunday as well.
