Out-of-favour Manchester United star returns to training

The out-of-favour Manchester United star has returned to training while his future at the club remains up in the air.
Recently with Dean Henderson’s arrival from his successful loan spell at Sheffield United, Sergio Romero was cast aside by Solskjaer. He has been dropped as Manchester United’s reserve goalkeeper and was also not seen in any of the Cup matches, where previously the Argentine would have been the first choice for the club.
Romero was considered as one of the best back-up goalkeepers in the Premier League. Under Jose Mourinho, he became a regular for the club in the Cup matches, and with David de Gea’s underperforming last season, he was close to securing his position as a first choice keeper for the club.
Although he was dropped by Solskjaer, the club declined to let him leave for Everton (loan) on deadline day and now finds himself without much hope of first-team football until January.

Further he was removed from the Premier League as well as the Champions League squad without any kind of prior notice to him which infuriated the 33-year old, who has been loyal to the club from the very beginning.
Reports in Manchester Evening News claim that the Argentine arrived at the Carringtion Complex this week and was seen to be training alone. Romero and his agent, Kristian Bereit, are in talks with United officials about a potential short-term deal with the club, until the transfer window opens up in January , where the keeper is expected to leave for good.
Sergio Romero joined the Red Devils from Sampdoria in 2015 and has been a loyal servant to the club for five whole years, but with Dean Henderson now at Old Trafford, he has dropped down the pecking order. And it is safe to say that the 23-year old Englishman will be a better replacement for De Gea and can also fulfil the position of the back-up goalkeeper for the time being.
