Manchester United are reportedly interested in bringing the £176 million duo to Old Trafford in what will be a blockbuster move.

It is no secret that Manchester United are coming off the back of a transfer window that can only be described as ‘disappointing’. It is good to see though that that has not affected the club’s ambitions as they are interested in bringing the Borussia Dortmund duo of Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford if reports in the Daily Mail are to be believed.

Both the players have been sensational during their time in Germany and as a result will come at a steep price. At the time of writing, they are estimated to cost a total of £176 million.

Firstly, let’s talk about Jadon Sancho and the £108 million that Dortmund want for him. The Englishman has been brilliant since leaving Manchester City for the German side. As the result, United chased him for almost the entirety of the summer transfer window. But the Red Devils refused to match the asking price, meaning a move ultimately did not take place.

Haaland was also someone that the Red Devils have been linked with in the past. In fact, they apparently had the chance to sign him for just £18 million in January but refused to meet the demands of his agent Mino Raiola. In hindsight, it was a mistake.

Haaland has torn the Bundesliga apart since joining Dortmund and his value has gone up astronomically. What’s more is the fact that Solskjaer has already coached the striker during his time at Molde. He does have a £68 million release clause in his contract though which will be activated in the summer of 2022. And that could be United’s chance to pounce.

Of course, they won’t be without competition though as these are two of the premier talents in Europe and both of them are just 20 years of age at the moment. Thus, expect the next couple of summers to be very interesting when it comes to transfer business.
