Paul Ince tells Manchester United star to leave the club
Paul Ince has told the Manchester United star to leave after being left on the bench by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in recent matches.
After a stumbling start to the season, Manchester United have managed to find some form. Back-to-back wins against Newcastle United and Paris Saint-Germain was backed up by a tough 0-0 draw against Chelsea last night. And while there Premier League is not spectacular by any stretch of the imagination, the ship has been steadied.
The improvement in results has also curiously coincided with Paul Pogba being relegated to the bench and being used exclusively as an impact substitute. And will Solskjaer want to tweak something that is working so well? Who knows?
Paul Ince is of the belief that the time has come for the Frenchman to leave Old Trafford. As reported by Metro, he said:
"“I think his performances since he has been here have been inconsistent. Paul Pogba is a world-class player and when he moved to Old Trafford I thought, ‘great’.“But all he has done is been a problem.“The fans have gone against him and now Bruno Fernandes has come in and shown what you need to do to be a Man United player.“He has performed consistently and Paul Pogba hasn’t done that and that is why he finds himself on the bench.”"

Paul Pogba has always been hailed as one of the best midfielders in the world. Unfortunately, he has never managed to show it consistently during his time at Manchester United. Yes, there have been spurts of brilliance here and there. But mostly, he has been hit and miss.
Another huge thing with the Frenchman is that it has always looked like he does not want to be at the club. Several times he has looked as good as gone but has ended up staying for one reason or the other. With his contract running out, it might not be the worst idea for the club to look for interested clubs next summer instead of losing him for free.
So is Solskjaer already preparing for life after Pogba? Or is this just him trying different tactics to see what works before bringing the Frenchman back into the setup? Only time will tell.
