Predicted Manchester United Starting XI vs Chelsea
Here’s how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United should line up when they take on Chelsea this Saturday in the Premier League.
Manchester United have been in good form following the international break. First, they got over their 6-1 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur by beating Newcastle United 4-1 away from home.
And then they caused a massive upset in the Champions League by beating last season’s finalists Paris Saint-Germain in their own backyard. Goals from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford were enough for Ole Gunnar’s Solskjaer men to come out with all three points and bring back some positivity around the club.
Things don’t stop here though as the games keep coming thick and fast. Tomorrow the Red Devils will welcome Frank Lampard’s Chelsea to Old Trafford. A win will well and truly bring their campaign back on track. While a loss will just take away all the momentum that they have managed to build up for themselves.
So how will Manchester United line up tomorrow?
The likes of David de Gea, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford are the usual suspects. What about the rest of the starting XI.
Axel Tuanzebe put in a spectacular performance against the French champions and we hope the Solskjaer sticks with him. Maguire is back also though. So could the boss stick with the three at the back that served him so well in mid-week. Or go with a more attacking line up to exploit Chelsea’s issues at the back.
Martial will also miss the game while it is unlikely that Cavani will start. Greenwood has also had his injury problems recently, which leads us to believe that Rashford will be starting as the striker and Solskjaer will stick to the three at the back at least initially due to lack of genuine options up top.
And will Paul Pogba remain on the bench despite his impressive cameos?

Here’s how we think they’ll line up:
David de Gea
Luke Shaw
Harry Maguire
Axel Tuanzebe
Alex Telles
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Fred
Scott McTominay
Paul Pogba
Bruno Fernandes
Marcus Rashford
Of course, a full strength Manchester United side would not line up like this. But unfortunately, that is not something Solskjaer has at his disposal right now. And this could be the next best thing.
