Rio Ferdinand gives exciting update about Manchester United
Rio Ferdinand has given an exciting update about the Manchester United team following their 2-1 win away against Paris Saint-Germain.
It is safe to say that most Manchester United fans would have been disappointed with the club’s start to the season. They lost 3-1 at Old Trafford on opening day to Crystal Palace before clawing out with all three points against Brighton and Hove Albion in controversial fashion.
And while there were a couple of 3-0 wins in the League Cup in between, the 6-1 defeat at home at the hands of Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur was truly catastrophic. Just weeks into the season, Ole Gunnar’s Solskjaer future at the club was put into doubt.
Things are starting to look up now though. The club managed to secure all three points at the weekend when they came out with a 4-1 win against Newcastle United. And they caused a massive upset in the Champions League by beating Paris Saint-Germain at their own home – a game most would not have expected them to win.
And Rio Ferdinand has given an exciting behind the scenes update about the Red Devils, As reported by Manchester Evening News, he said:
"“There are moments in a season that can kick-start your season. If you get a good performance in a big game, this was that.“You hear the noises coming out of Old Trafford at the moment – they’re saying the team are playing together now, there’s an understanding, the character is back, the confidence is coming back.“This was a very, very good performance. It was solid, it was efficient, the players that he trusted were in there and they ended up delivering on the night. Marcus Rashford seems to love Paris, two match-winners when he’s been there.”"

Ferdinand is a Manchester United and represented them for well over a decade in one of their most successful periods as a club. Thus, when he gives some behind the scenes update about the Red Devils, it is expected to be true.
It is a great sign that the players are coming together once again. We saw how good they can be in the second half of last season when they went on an incredible run and looked like the best team in the Premier League for a period of time.
The most important thing now though is to carry on performing the way they have in the last two games. The season is still early and there is no reason to be distraught over a defeat or jubilant over a victory. This is a marathon and not a race, so let’s take it one step at a time. Tuesday night’s win was a huge one in the right direction.
