Solskjaer reveals Manchester United star played with ‘one eye’ vs PSG
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that the Manchester United star played with just ‘one eye’ in their 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain.
After getting hammered 6-1 at the hands of Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur just a couple of weeks ago, most Manchester United fans would have gone into the game against Paris Saint-Germain with fears that the same could be repeated.
As we know by know though, this team is capable of springing a surprise. They have the capability of being absolutely brilliant on their day and terrible when they are off. Thankfully, they turned up last night in what was the biggest game of their season till now.
A penalty from Bruno Fernandes put the Red Devils ahead. But an own goal from Marcus Rashford in the second half levelled things. Marcus Rashford scored late once again just like he had done two seasons ago to hand Manchester United the win.
Speaking after the game, Solskjaer revealed that Scott McTominay played the second half with ‘one eye’ because he had lost his contact lens. As reported by Goal, the manager said:
"“Scotty played the first-half with one eye as well, that was the most impressive thing, because he lost his contact lens. That was impressive.”"

From last night’s performance, it is clear that the players were fired up to put in a big performance after what has been a stumbling start to the season. And the win will only give them confidence heading into the next games of the season.
The Red Devils have a tough set of fixtures coming up. They have to face Chelsea, RB Leipzig, Arsenal and Everton over the next three weeks.
As a result, while they might have put in a brilliant performance last night, they do not have the time to reflect and celebrate for too long. It should be back to work for the Red Devils. Either this could be a launching pad for a big season or it could be just one of its bright spots. Solskjaer has to make sure it is the former because otherwise his job might be on the line.
