Borussia Dortmund star planning to reject Manchester United
The Borussia Dortmund star appears to be planning to snub a move to Manchester United in order to join Real Madrid instead next summer.
Manchester United’s latest summer transfer window was one of their weirdest in the club’s recent history. They signed five senior players in total, with four of them being confirmed on the deadline day of the market.
The one, namely Jadon Sancho, United had reportedly been chasing all summer long didn’t happen to the disappointment of the fans. And by the current look of things, the Red Devils might miss out on Erling Braut Haaland in the upcoming summer transfer window as well.
According to a recently-emerged report from Spanish outlet ABC, Real Madrid are looking favourites to sign Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window next term.
Having scored 28 goals from 22 appearances for Austrian side RB Salzburg, Haaland seemed close to joining Manchester United in the January transfer window of 2019 but eventually completed a move to Borussia Dortmund instead.
Dortmund had reportedly spent £43 million in total — £23m of which was a part of the commission paid to Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola (£15m) and his father Alf-Inge Haaland (£8m) — to secure the services of the flamboyant striker.

The Red Devils’ reluctance to pay the eye-watering agent fee and insert a release clause in Haaland’s contract made them pull out of the race for the striker.
Ever since joining Borussia Dortmund, Haaland has had racked up 21 goals and 6 assists from 24 games for the German club across all competitions.
He is an emerging talent and has already earned loads of plaudit in the national team colours.
The compatriot of Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a release clause of €75m in his Dortmund contract that will be activated in the summer of 2022.
Besides Manchester United and Real Madrid, several clubs across the globe have shown interest in pursuing the striker. However, as the reports claim, the Norweigan might end up being a Real Madrid galactico by the end of the next summer.
