Manchester United: Another key player is set to tie his future to the club
Manchester United have been boosted yet again.
From being forced to change his position in the youth ranks to gifting his father a lavish Mercedes on his birthday, itt has been a rollercoaster 2019-20 season for Manchester United’s up and coming star Brandon Williams.
Although, Williams is now a well-known figure across the country and the Manchester United fanbase. Time, at the start of the season, was not as graceful as it is today for the starlet.
Naturally a right-back, Williams was forced to pay on the left-back position, due to the sudden emergence of Ethan Laird at the right-back spot in United’s academy.

Williams, having already impressed the senior figures in the building with his ball control, game-reading ability and speedy legs, did not take much time to learn his new position on the field, indicating that the little boy with blonde hair would be one of the leading stars to feature in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s Manchester United senior side before the end of the season.
Luke Shaw‘s injury provided him with the chance the aggressive wing-back was waiting for. Then, Williams made his first debut for the senior side as a substitute in the EFL Cup win over Rochdale last September.
With Luke Shaw being injured and Ashley Young refusing to play any longer for United and eventually completing his move to Italian side Inter Milan in the January transfer window, Williams became the first choice left-back of Manchester United.
Having now made 33 appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Williams has seized his place in Manchester United senior squad, earning him a contract extension that is expected to keep him at the Mancunian club until 2024.

According to the reports hovering in the air, what once was the wage of £4,000-a-week has now been raised around £40,000-a-week. Penning the contract, Willams claimed,
"“Signing this contract is another really proud moment for myself and my family. Having been at Manchester United since I was seven years old, it’s genuinely a dream come true to be playing in the first team.“It has taken a huge amount of hard work to reach this point and it has been really special for me to break through into the squad. I’ve learned a lot throughout the season from the manager, his coaching staff and my team-mates and I want to repay the trust that they have all shown in me.“I know that everyone at the club is working really hard every day to achieve success in the coming years and I am really excited to be a part of that.”"
As Solskjaer confirmed, the team’s leading left-back Luke Shaw will remain sidelined for the rest of the 2019-20 season with an ankle injury he sustained in the Premeir League game against Southampton.
Considering Shaw’s absence, it would not be hard to predict that Brandon Williams, who has had registered one goal and two assists this season, will don the left-back position for the remaining UEFA Europa Lague ties.
