The Manchester United star has spoken.

Manchester United are not accustomed to teenagers bursting onto the scene. The lineage of teenage wonderkids to have broken through into the Red Devils first team is a long and largely successful one. From the days of Matt Busby and Duncan Edwards, to Ferguson’s reign and the likes of Rooney, Ronaldo and Giggs, as well as in the interim years prior to Solskjaer’s takeover with Januzaj and Rashford catching the eye.

Mason Greenwood therefore is not an anomaly but rather the product of a long-standing tradition. Nonetheless, the talented youngster has the potential to surpass the achievements of all the above mentioned players in United colours. At just 18 years of age the forward has amassed a total of 17 goals in all competitions this season and with the Europa League campaign still not over the United forward still has an opportunity to add to his tally.

Greenwood is a unique talent. Despite his tender age he looks mature and has often come up trumps for United scoring crucial goals to secure important points which ultimately clinched Champions League football next season.

More from Red Devil Armada

Think of his goal against Everton to secure a draw. His goal in the 3-3 tie with Sheffield United or his recent goal against West Ham. Without those points, the club might not have been in a position to secure the much needed 66 points which confirmed their position above Leicester and Chelsea.

What is especially unique about Mason Greenwood is his ability to shoot just as deadly with both feet. It is a defender’s nightmare. You can’t usher him to his bad foot, because he doesn’t have one and hence comes the perplexing dilemma about how to stop him.

On top of that, Mason Greenwood seems to have an innate sense for the goal. He just knows how and when to strike from any distance and it is an attribute along with his ambipedal nature could make him a formidable player for years to come.

Nonetheless, speaking to Sky Sports via the Daily Mail, Mason Greenwood finally answered the question which has perplexed fans this season about which foot he prefers to shoot with.

Greenwood said the following:

"‘I’d say left. Most of my goals this season have been with my left. But I’m comfortable on my right as well. Equal amounts really, that’s the training. It’s just copying it really.’"

Whether it is with his left or his right foot, one thing is for sure, there will be plenty more Mason Greenwood goals for Man United in the future. The current campaign was just the beginning for the starlet and Greenwood has the potential to go right to the very top of the game.
