Manchester United should target the Hungarian.

The Ole Gunnar Solskjaer era seems to have finally sparked to life at Manchester United. Despite a small blip in the FA Cup semi-final, Solskjaer is no longer grimacing on the sidelines, his eyes now glint as he looks on and as the Red Devils continue to pile on the goals tormenting the opposition in the process.

Of course, the hard-work never stops, the current United squad is far from ready to help fulfil Solskjaer’s lofty ambitions and topple the Manchester City and Liverpool hegemony in the Premier League. However the Norwegian is on the right track.

The current financial crisis will have put a major obstacle in Man United’s way of trying to bolster Solskjaer’s squad. Links between Jack Grealish or James Maddison who are both valued by the current clubs at over £80 million seem frankly unfeasible in the current economic market.

If the Norwegian is serious about strengthening the club’s midfield with an attacking midfielder, Solskjaer must look at cheaper alternatives.

Dominik Szoboszlai could be the perfect choice. The Hungarian has a cheap release clause of just 25 million Euros. That could certainly make him affordable for United.

But his price is not the main reason, Solskjaer should target the Red Bull Salzburg man.

Dominik Szoboszlai is an outstanding talent. The Hungarian netted on his first start for Red Bull Salzburg, scored on his Champions League debut and handed out an assist against Napoli in his first appearance in the Europa League.

Since the resumption of the football in Austria, the Hungarian has been in impervious form. In 12 games Dominik Szoboszlai scored a total of 8 goals and handed out 12 assists. The nature of the goals have been sublime, the plethora of techniques ranging from volleys to free-kicks and long range strikes as well as slaloming runs.

Szoboszlai has bossed the midfield for Salzburg and he has been linked with the likes of AC Milan and Arsenal as well as Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

And the Hungarian should be on Solskjaer’s radar too. If the United boss stills wants an attacking midfielder, Szoboszlai is the perfect choice. Yes he is unproven in the Premier League, but at 1,86 metres he would be ready for the hustle and bustle physicality of the division. His technical ability is superb and he could form a lethal partnership with Bruno Fernandes in the middle of the park.

Would you be happy if Man United signed Dominik Szoboszlai?
