A plethora of interest around Europe is brewing up for Manchester United starlet.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was on his conventional seat at Old Trafford. Sir Alex Ferguson was also present in the directors’ box, covering his half face with a sky blue colour face mask amidst this coronavirus pandemic, staring straightly towards the green turf where Manchester United were tussling with a high-flying Southampton side, led by a reputed gaffer in Ralph Hasenhüttl, to prove their bid for next season’s UEFA Champions League berth.

Nothing but a win would be perfect for Solskjaer’s men to finish the night from the 3rd place in the Premier League points table — a guaranteed pathway to next season’s Champions League. However, following the ninety-minutes of hard-fought actions, the Red Devils saw out a 2-2 draw, thanks to a 96th-minute header from Southampton’s Michael Obafemi.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United devotees saw another chance to grab the Champions League spot gone past their control in somewhat a dramatic manner.

In a match where one could not expect plenty of positives from the home side, Anthony Martial‘s resurgence of his Manchester United career under the guidance of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer came under the spotlight once again.

After falling behind from Stuart Armstrong’s opening goal, caused by Paul Pogba’s lazy touch on the build-up, in the 12th-minute of the game, It was Martial who set up the first goal for Marcus Rashford and grabbed the second with an absolute ferocious shot on his right foot.

Consequently, he was named the man of the match, adding the 21st goal to his season-long tally on a tense night. With three games remaining in the Premier League, the doors for next season’s UCL are still wide-open for Manchester United.

Amidst the ongoing tension surrounding the potential future of the red side of Manchester, Italian outlet Calciomercato has suggested that Inter Milan, with an intention to make a move in the upcoming summer transfer window, have been monitoring the development of Anthony Martial at Manchester United.

However, according to the report, it would be very difficult for Antonio Conte’s side to lure an in-form striker from Old Trafford. There have also been some talks of including Inter’s star defender Milan Skriniar in a swap deal for Martial, who is valued at €70 million in the current scenario.

Manchester United have reportedly been in the chase of the defender for a while now. And it would not be a surprise should the Mancunian club go on to sign a defender this summer, considering the mistakes United defenders have made on the field lately.

Nevertheless, signing Skriniar, who has also been linked with a summer move to Manchester City, in exchange for Anthony Martial would never be a feasible deal from United’s perspective, given the fact that they don’t have enough depth in that attacking area.
