Manchester United are lining-up a surprise target.

The world of football is perpetually evolving and rapidly changing. One player can go from being instantaneous flop to an overnight success. Teams can fall from their perch in a single season and others can rise to the top in less. Manchester United are a prime example. In just one move, the Red Devils’ fortunes were completely overturned when Sir Alex Ferguson departed the club almost a decade ago.

Since then, the Red Devils have lingered in obscurity. False dawns have come and gone, but real tangible proof of the club’s return back to the pinnacle of English football has been scant.

In the past few weeks a new hope is certainly arising at Old Trafford. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has managed to make his team flourish and his current attackers have blossomed into a magnificent quintet.

The promise if there, however, one must not get carried away. United have beaten teams they were expected to defeat and the rebuilding process has only just begun. Solskjaer needs to further bolster the squad if he is to fulfil the club’s ambitions.

Alexander Sorloth is a player who is on the other spectrum of the rapidly changing world of football. The towering Norwegian forward was recruited by Crystal Palace for big money. His move in London did not reap rewards, however he has rebuilt himself in Turkey for Trazbonspor.

The 24 year old striker has netted 29 times and has given out 10 assists in 45 games for the Turkish outfit this season. He is still currently on loan at Crystal Palace, but his form seems to have attracted other Premier League suitors.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik via the Daily Express Man United and Chelsea are both looking to recruit Alexander Sorloth this summer.

With Solskjaer Alexander Sorloth’s compatriot, he might just swing the deal in the Red Devils’ favour.

United are certainly in need of an ulterior option in attack. As their free-flowing football continues to devastate Premier League defences, clubs may opt to deploy more defensive lines against the Red Devils.

Having a prolific outlet like Alexander Sorloth could be a major benefit and he could have the potential to become a cult hero at Old Trafford much like Solskjaer was himself.

This could be the exciting and cheap alternative to Sancho. dark. Next
