Manchester United: A shock new club has entered the Paul Pogba war
By Bence Bocsak
According to the latest reports, a surprising new team has emerged in the race to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
Few eyes were batted when Paul Pogba departed Manchester United in 2012. The Frenchman was considered an exciting talent, but in a team which included the likes of Jesse Lingard and Ravel Morrison, he was just one of the talents, not the talent to watch.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s judgement was always in high esteem at Old Trafford. Therefore if the Scotsman deemed Pogba not worthy of a first team spot than the 19 year old was free to try his luck elsewhere.
Now at 27 years of age Paul Pogba is preparing to leave Old Trafford for a second time. In the 8 years which have flown by since his first departure from United, Pogba became one of the most exciting prospects in world football, re-signed for United for a club record fee and lifted the World Cup.

On paper, Pogba should be up there with some of the best footballers of our generation. However, the Frenchman has had a turbulent period often fraught with controversy at United.
Under Jose Mourinho’s reign, Paul Pogba struggled to adapt to the Portuguese’s strict and rigid style of play. Under Solskjaer, the Frenchman thrived on the pitch but has suffered off the pitch with injuries and the perpetual rumours surrounding his future.
One can hardly blame him, the cajoling words of Mino Raiola must be hard to resist. The super-agent has sanctioned some of the biggest deals in world football and he is a master of his art.
At the same time United have embarked on another transitional period, the second one since Pogba’s arrival in 2016, and with the Frenchman hitting his prime years, you cannot blame him for not wanting to stick around and wait it out.
But while the two leadings clubs for his signature seemed to be Juventus and Real Madrid it seems a new team has entered the race for Paul Pogba.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport via Manchester Evening News, Inter Milan could be willing to generate £90 million by selling players in order to sanction a move for Paul Pogba.
Inter Milan have purchased several players from United in the past year including Ashley Young, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez on loan, and it seems Pogba could be the latest.
