Manchester United given brand new Marcus Rashford injury update

Manchester United have been given a vital new update regarding their star player, Marcus Rashford and it could be huge news for the club.

The first part of the 2019/2020 campaign was a bleak period for Manchester United. There was scant to smile about for the Red Devils faithful. But amidst the bleakness, on the rare occasions one shining light arose from the ashes.

Marcus Rashford finally emerged onto the scene as an outstanding talent. The 22 year old relished life under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and often helped lead the Red Devils to glory. Even when United produced lacklustre performances, Rashford had the ability to rescue the club from embarrassment.

His vital goals against the likes of Tottenham, Sheffield United and Liverpool all helped the team secure important points and keep Solskjaer’s side within a whisker of the coveted Champions League spots.

Rashford was a man transformed compared to his previous season.

He exuded confidence on the pitch and he tore defences apart. His pace combined with extraordinary tricks was the only source of celebration for the United faithful.

In January, with the Red Devils short of attacking options, the news Marcus Rashford would be ruled out for the rest of the season came as dagger through the heart of the United faithful.

Many couldn’t believe the Red Devils’ misfortune and concern was rife regarding how United would be able to cope with life without Marcus Rashford.

Fortunately, thanks to indelible contributions from new signings, Odion Ighalo and Bruno Fernandes, the loss of Rashford hasn’t had a huge impact on the team.

United have been in fine form and have produced some exemplary performances during the month of February.

Nonetheless, the fans are still eagerly awaiting Rashford’s return.

Whilst it was rumoured, that Rashford would not be able to return to action until May. It seems the Red Devils have been given a huge new boost regarding his fitness.

The 22 year old posted a video of himself on Twitter working on an indoor bike:

Rashford looks fit and well in the video.

With the Premier League now suspended until the end of April, it seems more and more likely that Rashford could still play a key role in the latter stages of United’s season.
