The former Manchester United legend who was a teammate of Solskjaer whilst at the Red Devils has given his verdict on the club’s current boss.

The sheer spectacle of David Beckham playing for Manchester United was a joy to behold. His ability on the ball, his crossing and lethal set pieces made the Red Devils one of the most feared teams in world football at the time.

The player who benefited the most from David Beckham’s iconic crosses was the Red Devils’ current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Beckham and Solskjaer formed an unlikely link on the pitch. The pair of them spent seven years as teammates and by the end they were almost telepathic.

Time, circumstances and retirement has since taken them on different roads.

Beckham has become an icon not just in Manchester but around the entire world. It has seen the United legend amass millions in modelling and brand sponsorship deals.

Beckham is currently on the brink of launching his first MLS franchise, Inter Miami.

Solskjaer on the other hand has delved into the game of coaching. After spells in Norway and United’s academy as well as a brief stint at Cardiff, the Norwegian is currently in charge at Old Trafford.

The pressure has been intense for Solskjaer during his reign.

The Red Devils currently sit in fifth place in the Premier League which would secure them a coveted Champions League spot for next season at this current moment of time.

Despite this, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come under criticism at Old Trafford. There have even been reports about fans urging the board to sack him.

The truth is the Norwegian still needs time to implement his vision and David Beckham has backed him to do so.

Speaking to Sky Sports News David Beckham revealed that he thinks Solskjaer is ‘doing a good job.’

David Beckham’s backing will surely mean a lot to Solskjaer especially under the current circumstances.

In the long run the Norwegian will hope to emulate the successes of Sir Alex Ferguson and take the Red Devils back to where they belong.
