Manchester United have received a shocking twist over Paul Pogba according to the latest reports and it could change the entire saga completely.

Paul Pogba has been a divided figure at Manchester United. Often he has brought joy to the Old Trafford crowd on the pitch with some exemplary performances, however off it, he has often been enveloped in controversy and criticism.

His agent Mino Raiola is a notoriously infamous figure in the world of football. Raiola has the tendency to rattle his clients’ clubs and his fierce demands and cunning nature has made him fall out with plenty of football clubs in the past.

Manchester United are yet another and it has thrown his client Paul Pogba’s future in the air.

More from Red Devil Armada

The Frenchman has not featured for the club on a regular basis since the end of last season. Paul Pogba has been suffering with a long term injury. The Red Devils have sorely missed him in the midfield and his absence has left a gaping void. Fortunately, Paul Pogba does seem to be be on the mend. However rather unfortunately during his time away from the pitch he has also developed a huge desire to leave Old Trafford.

When you look at it objectively you could hardly blame him. The England media have given him a torrid time and being at the prime years of his career he would want to compete for trophies year after year. Manchester United do not look capable of that in their current state being under a transition period.

It would therefore be the best for both parties if they go their separate ways. United will be able to get a hefty fee for Paul Pogba’s services and implement that money into the transfer market to find adequate replacements.

However according to the latest reports Paul Pogba’s suitors, Real Madrid, might not be willing to pay the £100 million demanded by the Red Devils but instead only half of that. A report by the Daily Mail via the Daily Express claims that Real Madrid only want to pay £50 million to sign Paul Pogba in the summer.

That would be a huge loss on the £90 million the club paid to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus.
