Manchester United edging closer to world class Ed Woodward replacement
By Bence Bocsak
Manchester United could be on the brink of appointing a hugely exciting new replacement for the highly criticised Ed Woodward.
Ed Woodward could be one of the most hated man in Manchester United right now. You have to feel sorry for the man. His life is being tormented by a set of staunch Red Devils supporters who are ruining the good reputation of the club.
Of course criticism should rightly be directed towards Ed Woodward but there is no excuse for the insidious scenes which took place outside his home last weekend.
United are under a huge transition and Ed Woodward has clearly failed to live up to expectations but his task is a mighty one and he is only human after all. Perhaps under the current situation it would be best for both sides to part way and to call it a day.

United are already reportedly in talks to appoint a hugely exciting new sporting director in the name of Antero Henrique according to French outlet Soccerlink.
This could be a signal of Ed Woodward’s imminent departure from Old Trafford.
And Antero Henrique could be his perfect replacement. The 51 year old Portuguese man has worked in charge of Porto and at Paris Saint Germain for several years.
Antero Henrique was the man behind sanctioning some of the biggest deals in world football including brining Kylian Mbappe and Neymar to the French capital.
Henrique is clearly an experienced figure with a shrewd business mind capable of making and negotiating the right deals.
He is everything Manchester United need at the moment.
With his plethora of knowledge regarding the game and his ability to bring in the right reinforcements he could be the man to turn the Red Devils into a powerhouse once more.
Of course it seems the club are at an early stage with negotiations and the fans should not get too carried away but signs do appear to be promising.
One thing is for sure, the current direction United are heading is not the right one. Change is a necessity.
What do you think, would Antero Henrique be a good appointment?
