Manchester United are the favourites to sign their number one transfer target for the summer window who is a top Premier League talent.

In the past Manchester United have struggled with landing their primary transfer targets. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s has often faced difficulty in attracting the right calibre of players to bring to Old Trafford.

As a result the United squad is rather depleted at the moment. In the midfield area especially the club are lacking the necessary depth needed to help them get back into the top four.

Despite the addition of Bruno Fernandes which was a major coup by the club, the Red Devils will still look to invest in the midfield area in the summer window.

Bruno Fernandes will help bring the right amount of creativity from the middle of the park. However on the wing, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still short of options.

Daniel James has done well since arriving in the summer, but he is not the calibre of player who will take the Red Devils to the next level. The club needs someone who has proven himself in the Premier League already.

In Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish the Red Devils may have found the perfect candidate. The English midfielder has been a breath of fresh air in an often dull Aston Villa side this season. He has scored 7 goals in the Premier League and has given out 5 assists. Those are impressive stats for someone playing in a relegation struggling team.

But the most impressive factor about Grealish is his ability to produce those uncanny special moments on a regular basis. The current Aston Villa captain has a great dribbling ability and a fearsome striking range which would make him a huge asset to United.

And according to bookmakers via the Standard Manchester United are favourites to sign Jack Grealish in the summer.

This follows reports by Goal that the club have already agreed preliminary terms with Grealish himself.
