The Manchester United boss has been given a huge injury update on some of his star players and it is good news for the Norwegian.

Far too often this season there has been one recurring sight at Old Trafford. The long deep sigh and the accompanying grimace on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s face. The Manchester United boss has had a hapless time so far this season. From mistakes at the back, to poor performances and unfortunate injuries it seems nothing is going right for the club.

Manchester United are sinking further and further away from their two arch rivals Liverpool and Manchester City. The glory days under Sir Alex Ferguson seem like a distant memory.  For some too young to remember perhaps even a fictitious fantasy.

Old Trafford is no longer the fortress is once was. The club are no longer the team to fear.

Especially in the current moment with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in a hopeless injury crisis.

Yet despite all of this. The club only trail the fourth spot in the Premier League by just a measly five points. With still 15 games left in the season, the Red Devils can easily claw back that deficit.

In terms of the injury crisis. It seems United are doing everything they can to help ease the load by recruiting in the January transfer market and the Red Devils seem to be on the brink of making their first signing in Bruno Fernandes.

And more good news seems to be on the horizon for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. According to reports two of his current stars are expected to return to action shortly.

The Manchester Evening News has reported that both Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba are expected to return to action in February.

That means the Red Devils will only have to cope without the pair for a couple of more weeks.

With the addition of Bruno Fernandes and both Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba back to full fitness, Old Trafford may finally see a fully functioning midfield next month.
