The Manchester United boss could lose an integral part of his first team squad to one of the club’s Premier League rivals as early as January.

The roof of Manchester United’s famous stadium and theatre of dreams, Old Trafford, is leaking. Nothing exemplifies the current state of the Red Devils more than the decrepit state of the club’s stadium.

Manchester United are in a state of disarray and a club without any sort of strong direction. It is evident on the pitch. The Red Devils have suffered some torrid results this season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s grip on his job is slowly slipping away from his grasp. Some of the club’s best players are being linked with moves away from Old Trafford.

Paul Pogba has been linked with a departure the most though his most recent injury seems to have halted the rumours somewhat.

The likes of Nemanja Matic and Marcos Rojo are also set to be on their way out of the club as well as Jesse Lingard.

It seems Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is slowly letting some of his best players go.

And yet another key player could be on the verge of departing Old Trafford.

According to the Daily Mirror via the Metro Leicester City are targeting the Red Devils’ first choice left-back Luke Shaw as a replacement for Ben Chilwell who will inevitably leave the Foxes for pastures new.

Luke Shaw arrived with a lot of promise in 2014 from Southampton. At the time he was regarded as one of the most promising talents in world football and he was expected to become the Red Devils’ answer to the departing legend Patrice Evra.

Unfortunately however, Luke Shaw failed to fulfil expectations at Old Trafford. The English full-back suffered some horrific injuries which halted his progression. And whilst Luke Shaw has recovered from those set-backs, the injuries clearly left a mark on him and marred his potential. Shaw is a shadow of the player he was expected to become.

In addition he is also one of the highest earners at the club which is hugely unwarranted. With the emergence of Brandon Williams from the Red Devils’ youth academy, if a hefty offer comes in from Leicester perhaps it is time for Manchester United and Luke Shaw to part ways.
