Manchester United fans have been tormented by perpetual negative news surrounding their midfielder but it seems there could be some optimism on the horizon.
Paul Pogba seems to be an elusive character for Manchester United at the moment. The French midfielder has purportedly set his sights on a move away from Old Trafford and he has faced extensive periods on the sidelines. It seems he is nowhere to be seen.
Pogba who begun his professional career with the Red Devils before making a name for himself at Juventus, has not had the smoothest of times since he returned to Old Trafford from the Turin based side.
The French World Cup winner has struggled to settle and make the impact which was initially expected of him by the Red Devils faithful. He has faced extensive criticism by pundits and football experts online for his antics on and off the pitch and he has been a shadow of the player he was for Juventus and still is for the French national team.
When news of his latest surgery was announced, it was greeted with a sense of disbelief. Pogba was on the cusp of returning to the team. He had made good impact in two substitute appearances and the Manchester United midfielder finally seemed to be back to his best. Which in turn made the United midfield far more dynamic and impactful.
Upon his injury, speculation about a January move to Real Madrid only accelerated and Pogba’s situation at Old Trafford seemed hopeless.
Yet it seems there could be some positive news on the horizon regarding Paul Pogba at last. According to the Mirror, Pogba’s operation went well and he has already begun his rehabilitation process just a day after the surgery.
That means the Frenchman is eager to get back on the pitch and if United could keep hold of him and suppress the barrage of offers from both Real Madrid and Juventus, he could be a huge asset to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
Paul Pogba after all is a world class talent and prior to his injury he had showed glimmers of his skill and prowess.
