The Manchester United boss could be busy in January and he has been linked with a lot of players. Here are the five most likely transfers.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s quest to get Manchester United back to where they belong is well underway. The quest has already involved many ups and downs and crucially some great recruits. Come January Solskjaer will once again be focused on the signing of appropriate players in order to hone his squad and make sure it is the best fit for his style of play and for the level of football Manchester United aspire to play.

United’s arch rivals Liverpool took four years to achieve this with some astute signings and Solskjaer will be hoping to do the same.

The upcoming January transfer window will present the Manchester United boss with the perfect opportunity to start things off in the right way and Solskjaer will be hoping to bring in some quality acquisitions to Old Trafford.

Those signings could be crucial in helping United reach the top four in the Premier League this season.

Here are five players who Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could sign in the January transfer window.

1. Erling Haaland

Without a shadow of a doubt Erling Haaland’s name is the one that gets mentioned the most and he has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford already in December.

It is easy to see why Erling Haaland has been scoring goals for fun at Red Bull Salzburg in Austria and he has had an absolutely incredible debut season in the Champions League too.

The bulky towering forward seems like an all round phenomenal player and his goalscoring prowess could certainly come in handy at Old Trafford.

Add the fact that it was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who handed Haaland his senior debut all the way back when the Norwegian was just 17 years of age in Molde, the pair are clearly very familiar with one another and that might just swing the move in favour of United over Haaland’s other potential suitors.
