2020 could be huge for Manchester United and it could be a make or break year for the club. Here are three things United must do in 2020.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United are on a mission. The United boss is desperate for the club to return to their glory days under Sir Alex Ferguson and United are eager to win more silverware and catch-up with their rivals in Manchester City and Liverpool at the pinnacle of English football.
2020 could be the year Manchester United are finally able to do it, if the red devils and Solskjaer plays their cards right.
Though for that to happen and for United to finally return back to the top there are several things which must be done first in order to ensure the red devils are heading in the right direction.
Here are three things Manchester United must do in 2020.
1. Secure the future of Paul Pogba
Paul Pogba was once signed as Manchester United’s record signing and remains so to this day. The French World Cup winner is without a shadow of a doubt one of the club’s best players on his day. Paul Pogba has the ability to unlock defences, drive through opponents’ midfields and score or set up stunning goals in order to help the club win games single handedly.
Whilst the Frenchman has not been at his best whilst at United since he made his return to the club in 2016 it is clear the potential is there for him to blossom under Solskjaer. With the Norwegian in charge Pogba had his best calendar year for the club in 2019.
Unfortunately he keeps being linked with moves away from the club and his future is up in the air at Old Trafford right now.
However if Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are serious about returning the red devils to the top ensuring that Paul Pogba stays at the club should be number one priority.
