Manchester United: Solskjaer close to finally signing Barcelona star man

The Manchester United boss could be on the brink of landing a major coup for the red devils by bringing the Barcelona star to Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been slowly developing a good reputation at Manchester United. Gradually that reputation has been growing and growing stronger and the Norwegian is now fairly esteemed among the Old Trafford faithful.

It is fair to say Solskjaer has not put a foot wrong since he has arrived at Manchester United just a little over a year ago. The Norwegian is doing a good job and he is slowly re-building the red devils’ squad in order to lead them back to the pinnacle of football once again and into the Champions League.

To achieve his quest Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs all the reinforcements he can get in order to bolster his options at Old Trafford.

And it seems Manchester United could soon be on the brink of landing a major coup in order to strengthen their squad by purchasing Barcelona’s want away midfielder Arturo Vidal. According to TeamTalk the Catalan club want only £17m for their Chilean midfielder which could make the signing of Arturo Vidal even more likely at United.

According to TeamTalk Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘is a keen admirer’ of Arturo Vidal. With Barcelona asking for such a low fee and with Manchester United clearly interested this could be a great signing for the club.

Arturo Vidal is still an elite talent who could bring vital experience and energy into the Manchester United midfield which has lacked cohesion at times under Solskjaer. Arturo Vidal could be the solution to that problem as the Chilean is known for his ability to drive and set-up attacks going forward from the midfield area.

Vidal has a plethora of experience right at the top of European football at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus. With United desperate to return to be regarded among the previously mentioned names Arturo Vidal could be the perfect catalyst to set the club on their way.
