Can Manchester United add to their impressive displays in pre-season in their opening Premier League fixture against Chelsea at Old Trafford?

Manchester United fans were pessimistic heading into the summer transfer window.

Although they were in dire need of a squad overhaul after finishing 6th in the Premier League, they had no faith in their owners to give Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the funds necessary to do so.

Furthermore, they gave the Norwegian £50million to sign arguably the best right-back in the Premier League, Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan Bissaka.

United also brought in Swansea City winger Daniel James for £18million whilst offloading Romelu Lukaku for £74million, as well as Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia for free.
