Women’s Player of the Year

It was a tremendous campaign for Manchester United Women in their first season of existence. They eased to the victory in the FA Women’s Championship finishing up with a staggering 55 points out of a possible 60, winning 18 of their games and only losing one.

United’s goalscoring has been a key factory in their immediate success this campaign, netting almost 98 in the league, and Katie Zelem has played her part for sure.

The energetic midfielder has added 11 goals for Casey Stoney’s ladies, proving particularly threatening from free-kicks.

This and Zelem’s valuable experience and leadership qualities she brought to the team having played for Italian giants Juventus previously, earnt her the inaugural title of, Manchester United Women’s Player of the Year.
