SUGGESTED STARTING XIs: Manchester United hoping to make it four wins in a row vs Newcastle

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will look to become the first Manchester United manager in 73 years to win their first four consecutive matches when his side take on Newcastle this evening. But after another top display against Bournemouth on Sunday, will the Norwegian caretaker boss give other players opportunities as promised?

Although Dalot has looked great going forward for United, he hasn’t been defending well, so Young should keep his place at right-back. Since Bailly is suspended, Jones is the only other centre-back who can start alongside Lindelof.

The midfield three of Herrera, Matic and Pogba has been phenomenal thus far under Solskjaer, so it should remain unchanged, with Fred on the bench as back up.

Although Lukaku scored when he came on against Bournemouth, Rashford should still keep his place up top, as he is a much more agile and skilful forward than the Belgian.

Lingard has been great in recent games; however, with the return of Sanchez, he will likely be the one to make way for the Chilean.

The ever-dependable Ashley Young was lucky to stay on the pitch against Cardiff after a nasty challenge in the first half, however, he has been one of United’s consistent full backs this season and just gets in the side ahead of Diogo Dalot.

After Eric Bailly’s stupid tackle against Bournemouth, his red card means he will miss the Red Devil’s next three games, missing the opportunity to nail down a place in the side. Therefore, the only other fit centre-halves are Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof.

I couldn’t agree more with Ali about the midfield. Paul Pogba has obviously stolen the headlines, but both Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic have been equally fantastic, keeping the likes of Fred and Marouane Fellaini out of the side.

The only change I would make from Ali’s team I would make is up front. I mentioned how much I would love to see Alexis Sanchez come into the team on Sunday but with the other teams around us now starting to drop points the need to continue winning games is crucial.

Solskjaer also introduced Romelu Lukaku back into the fold from the subs bench and that is the way I would now go with Sanchez.
