Romelu Lukaku (64′) – 7

Here’s a not-so-fun fact – Lukaku hasn’t scored a goal at Old Trafford since March. Yikes. Although he was close to grabbing the winner today, he ended up putting the ball just wide of the post. However, he did get the next best thing – an assist for the winner – so I’d say he did his job pretty well in the end.

Paul Pogba (65′) – 7

The midfielder was the star of the show in our previous meeting with Young Boys. However, this time, he was relegated to just a cameo appearance. Pogba tried to make the most of his time by pumping the ball up constantly, hoping something would stick. And one of his long balls did lead to a goal – so well done to the Frenchman.

Juan Mata (72′) – 6

Mata didn’t really affect the game when he came on. However, he did make some pretty nice touches here and there, and who knows, if United’s forwards had tried to win a freekick, the Spaniard could’ve produced a moment of brilliance – as he did against Juventus. Nevertheless, this time around, his performance was just okay.
