Marcus Rashford (70′) – 6
Rashford was energetic when he came on late into the game but was pretty ineffective. He even had a chance to make it 3-1 when Martial played him in for a one-on-one with Wojciech Szczesny, which he promptly squandered. What happened to the young forward’s killer instinct? He needs to work on his finishing some more if he wants to regain his place in the starting XI.
Juan Mata (79′) – 8
Over the years, Mata has produced so many magical moments for the fans – and he has just gone and produced another. The Spaniard had no right to score from that free kick. It was given so close to the box that even the very best players in the world would’ve struggled to get it over the wall and down again. But he managed it, showing once again why he’s a fan favourite at the club.
Marouane Fellaini (79′) – 7
Fellaini has come a long way since being booed by his own fans all those years ago. He has proved yet again why he’s such an important player for United. Juventus shifted to a back three when Andrea Barzagli came on, and yet, they still couldn’t contain the Belgian. During the free-kick that led to the goal, Fellaini was marked by three players but still managed to get his head on the ball – which was eventually turned in for the winner. His physicality is unmatched by any other player in the world. We’re lucky to have him on our side.
