Manchester United have pulled off yet another thrilling comeback in the Premier League this season. Many of Jose Mourinho’s men were brilliant at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, but who stood out amongst the rest?

Manchester United’s performances this season are getting ridiculous.

Now, I enjoy comebacks as much as the next football fan. But why do Jose Mourinho’s men always have to go a goal or two down before they actually start to care?

On this occasion, United went 1-0 down to Bournemouth in the 11th minute after we failed to get rid of the ball after a set piece, giving Callum Wilson the chance to put his side in front. Anthony Martial was able to equalise in the 35th minute after a wonderful cutback by Alexis Sanchez. However, it was substitute Marcus Rashford who saved the day in the second minute of added time after tucking away a brilliant cross by Paul Pogba.

Although many of the Red Devils should be praised for showing passion and determination in their desire to turn the game around, not everybody was willing to go the extra mile to ensure that we left the Vitality with all three points on Saturday.

Goalkeeper

David de Gea – 8

As always, de Gea cannot be blamed for our inability to keep a clean sheet this season. The Spaniard made some exceptional saves that well and truly kept us in the game. The point-blank saves against Callum Wilson and David Brooks in the first and second half respectively were the best that come to mind. Making sure that de Gea renews his contract should be the number one priority for the club this season.
