Lukaku must simplify his game and do what he does best

Things are going from bad or worse for United’s number nine Romelu Lukaku. His goal drought is beginning to get ridiculous now but I still think he should start against Bournemouth.

Mourinho benched Lukaku for Marcus Rashford against Everton but later brought him on as a substitute. The Belgian did not look sharp in final 20 minutes or so of the game. Many fans think he should be dropped from the squad entirely and be given a much-needed holiday.

However, I’d argue that the Bournemouth game is a great opportunity for Lukaku to get back on the scoresheet, as he loves scoring against lesser sides. He needs to score at some point if he is to regain his form in front of goal. Taking him out the squad would just delay that opportunity and shatter his confidence.
