PLAYER RATINGS: Find out who gets a NINE as Manchester United see through Everton in the Premier League

Defence
Ashley Young – 7
The 33-year-old left-winger turned right-back put in another solid performance. He was great at picking the ball up and driving the team forward, but he was suspect at times in defence. Nevertheless, until Diogo Dalot is 100 per cent fit, Ashley Young should definitely keep his place in the starting XI.
Chris Smalling – 6
This was a hard one. I want to give Smalling a 7 for being so solid for us 99 per cent of the time, but I also want to give him a 5 for ruining de Gea’s clean sheet by giving away a silly penalty, so I’ll settle for a 6. Besides, someone else in the team was arguably more to blame…
Victor Lindelof – 7
Last week, I said Lindelof had his best performance in a United shirt against Juventus. It was just the case of repeating the same performance week in and week out for United, and thankfully, the Swedish international is beginning to do just that. Let’s hope he continues to build on his form and go onto become the great centre-back we know he can be.
Luke Shaw – 6
The left-back was great at stopping anything that came down his flank but did little to help out United in attacking this weaker Everton side. Once he can master both sides of his game and display them at once, he will undoubtedly become world class.
