Manchester United take on Brighton today at the AMEX Stadium in the Premier League. After Jose Mourinho won his opening game of the league season, will he stick with the same lineup?

Many United players impressed in the win over Leicester City. None more so than youngster Andreas Pereira who has recently earned a call-up to the Brazilian national squad. Therefore, Pereira is likely to make only his second start for the first team in as many league games.

Paul Pogba also was impressive on his return from winning the World Cup with France. He captained the side against Leicester and will do so again today.

Luke Shaw recieved the Sky Sports Man of the Match after his impressive performance capped with a goal. The left-back took part in extra training sessions before preseason in order to get himself fit for the 2018/19 campaign so he will be desperate to retain his place.

Injury news

Nemanja Matic and Antonio Valencia have both returned to training but this weeks fixture comes too early for both of them. Matic underwent surgery for an injury he picked up at the World Cup whereas Valencia limped off in United’s match against San Jose Earthquakes with a calf strain.

Sergio Romero, Diogo Dalot, Ander Herrera and Marcos Rojo are still yet to return to Carrington and are continuing to nurse their injuries.

Predicted starting XI

Goalkeeper: David De Gea

Lee Grant will be United’s back up keeper as Sergio Romero is still out. No doubting who the number one is.
