1. Playing through the midfield will prove to be the most efficient way to play

When Manchester United plays the ball on the ground, they can beat any team. Looking at United’s past games, playing the long ball through the air has rarely proved to be a good tactic.

For instance, Manchester United played the long ball in the Champions League second leg against Sevilla. United could not possess out of the back, so they had to play the long ball. Obviously, United lost that game that could have easily been won if they played through the midfield.

With Lingard in form, United could find success playing through the young Englishman.
