Paul Pogba: Manchester United midfielder featured in FIFA 18 Team of the Week
Paul Pogba had a scintillating return from injury in the 4-1 over Newcastle this past weekend.
Pogba bagged himself a goal and an assist as Manchester United throttled Newcastle; and his performances have earned him a spot in EA Sports’ FIFA 18 Team of the Week.
Pogba’s base rating in the game is an 87 overall, down one from last year’s FIFA rating of 88. However, his performances have given his player card a boost back to 88 overall.
Fans have long-awaited his return as the Red Devils continued to drop points during his 2 month absence on the sideline. The Old Trafford faithful weren’t disappointed as the 24-year old led the home side to a great comeback win.
Despite an up and down season last year, most fans though Pogba should have maintained his FIFA 17 rating headed into the latest installment. Pogba won three trophies last year and scored the winning goal in the Europa League final vs. Ajax.
But the game creators at EA thought otherwise, giving the Frenchman the downgrade before the September release of FIFA 18.

Pogba gets a lot of undeserved hate. I’ll go ahead and say it — he’s world class. He just has to focus on consistency — but here’s the thing: he’s just 24 years old.
