Manchester United have lost their first Premier League game of the season after a 2-1 defeat to Huddersfield Town. This was how Twitter reacted to United’s performance.

Manchester United have lost their unbeaten streak, dropped three points, and conceded two goals to a Huddersfield side that had only scored one goal in six games before playing United. All in all, it’s a disastrous day for the Reds.

Numerous fans have vented their anger on Twitter, including me. Let’s take a look at some of them:

I completely agree with this tweet. Manchester United had the likes of Lukaku, Martial and Mkhitaryan.

Hence, having a total of three shorts on-target is completely unacceptable.

Not a fan of this tweet at all. I don’t see how having Mesut Özil in the team would help United in any way.

Poor defence, midfield, and attack. He’s right, the players were simply just pathetic!

Smalling was disastrous but, just not as much as Victor Lindelöf. He had poor communication with Victor Lindelöf and missed the chance to score an equaliser at the death.

I understand the hate on Victor Lindelöf after that performance, but I think it’s only right to give him more time to adapt and suit himself in the Premier League.

Lastly, I decided to bring in my own tweet because I thought that I made a pretty good point here.

People are using injuries as an excuse for today’s performance. I honestly think that our XI was more than capable of winning that Huddersfield side.
