Ashley Young did not appear often for the Red Devils but he did make an incredible impact when he did feature.
Pre-Season
Ashley Young played in all three pre-season matches for 45 minutes in each. The Englishman was utilized in several different positions, including right back, left back, and right wing. He did not make the squad for the Community Shield against Leicester City.
Start of the Season
In the beginning of the season, Young usually came off the bench in various roles. Soon, Jose Mourinho realized that Young could be utilized as a full-back when he wanted his outside backs to attack. He was then utilized in this role on several occasions. He did not feature often for the club but when he did, he made a massive impact.

End of the Season
Young played all 90 minutes in the 2-0 win over Chelsea at the end of the season. This was one of his best performances and it was a a sign of the trust that Jose Mourinho had in him. Unfortunately, he was hit with an injury that kept him out the rest of the season and he missed the Europa League final.
Overall Stats
Young featured 23 times for the club this season. He did not score any goals but provided an assist. He may be transferred out this summer but he has had a profound impact at Manchester United. If he stays, Mourinho knows he can count on him to put in a solid performance.
