Miralem Pjanic, Midfielder

The Bosnian hasn’t really been linked with a move to United, and if a transfer did go through, it would come as a real surprise. That said, Pjanic is a wonderful technician and a player who would improve any Premier League side.

With two of United’s central midfielders aged 34 and 31, respectively, signing the 25-year-old would make sense. He’s vastly experienced but also has his best years ahead of him.

What’s more, a trio of Pjanic, Morgan Schneiderlin and Ander Herrera would hand United plenty of options in midfield.

United, of course, have first-hand experience of Pjanic’s on-the-ball ability. In the summer of 2014, he scored an incredible goal from deep inside his own half in an International Champions Cup match against the Red Devils.

Pjanic seems set for a move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs sooner rather than later, and United could do worse than to make sure they are at the front of the queue come the summer.
