Marquinhos, Defender

It would be some coup if United landed the talented Brazilian. If the 21-year-old leaves Paris Saint-Germain this summer, there will be a host of clubs interested in his signature.

However, given that Marquinhos is second choice at the French champions behind compatriots Thiago Silva and David Luiz, it’s plausible that he will consider his future this summer. The defender admitted as much in a recent interview with Le Parisien:

"“Everyone knows that you need to have a period of reflection at the end of the season. We will talk about the objectives of the club and my own personal objectives. At the moment, I’m trying to be professional.”"

Marquinhos is a technically proficient centre-back who can also fill in at right-back. He also possesses great pace and athleticism.

There is some way to go before he lines up for United next season, but if the move is at all possible, United should make a concerted effort to sign him.
