No. 3 – Angel Di Maria vs Leicester (September 21st)

Angel Di Maria’s start to his Manchester United career was blistering. He was fantastic on his home debut against Queens Park Rangers and has scored 3 times with six assists since his British record move from Real Madrid.

His best moment though is quite clear. A magnificent solo goal against Leicester City in the now infamous 5-3 defeat at the KP Stadium.

Picking up the ball on the half-way line, Di Maria drove past two Leicester players before playing the ball wide to Wayne Rooney. He then continued his run into the box and received the return pass from his captain, before taking a touch and scooping the ball over Danish goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

Di Maria’s goal won him the Manchester United Goal of the Month award as well as BBC’s Match of the Day Goal of the Month award and is the standout moment of a startling Manchester United career so far.
