Manchester United 1 - West Bromwich 2

United have lost again. And it wasn’t just a loss, it was a loss to WEST BROMWICH ALBION, who haven’t won at Old Trafford since the ’70s. Am I furious? Yes. Beyond the point of compare. But this isn’t the time to lay down and quiver in fear. This is the time to stand up and support your team. Or at least try. Because you know, we just lost to WBA.

The first half was one of the most bland ones I have ever seen. Few chances by either side, and the team that arguably had the best chance was West Brom. United didn’t improve much in the second half as they quickly fell 1-0 down after a goal by Morgan Amalfitano in the 54th minute.

United did manage to fight there way back into the match after Wayne Rooney scored on a free-kick just 3 minutes later. Despite tying up the game, United never managed to assert their strength. West Brom kept on attacking and in the 67th minute, Saido Berahino would score what would end up being the game winning goal.

With time ticking, United did step their game up and with only a few minutes to go in the game, Fellaini scored but the goal was ruled offside. Although United did have a couple of more good chances, they weren’t able to produce and the game would end 2-1 in favor of West Brom.

I am still struggling to comprehend what I just witnessed. After the loss to Manchester City I said that we had to rebound in the best possible form. They clearly didn’t listen to my advice.

What’s next for the Red Devils? A game at Shakhtar on the 2nd in the Champions League before returning to England to take on Sunderland on the 5th. Let me put it like this, anything less than 6 points this week and I think the #FireMoyes bandwagon will have some legitimate backing for their cause.

Go United!
